We welcome you to read the following comments from our previous hotel guests: FOSTERS ROCKS!!!!! Foster (whom we nicknamed "The King of Roatan") was so nice and treated everyone staying there like family. Our room was fabulous with a georgous view of the most beautiful beach on the entire island!! Leslie was great helping us with the reservations ahead of time and also once we arrived!! If you are looking for fun thing to do then hook up with one of Fosters sons. They offer different types of trips (fishing, diving or a day on another island) and are such nice guys. We went on a trip to Cayos Cochinos with Ray and it definitely was one of the high points of our trip! My husband went fishing with another son Gary. Fosters has everything you need for a dream vacation.........beautiful beach, incredible diving and snorkeling, good food, awesome rooms and the nicest folks you will ever meet. We had a very entertaining monkey that would hang out on our porch every day too! We loved it so much that we booked again for the same time next year! Thanks to Foster and the whole crew!! Jan and Wayne, Ojai, California After much time spent on the internet researching, we finally decided to stay at Fosters Resort for our holiday on Roatan, and we were not at all disappointed with our decision! The beach is amazing, the water beautiful, the owner, Foster, and manager, Leslie, and all the other staff were welcoming and very friendly and accommodating. We honestly felt that in our short week there, we made some real connections... The mosquitoes and sand flies that we had read about turned out to be a non-issue---the only time we noticed the sand flies was at dusk, occasssionally, and we just sprayed with 'Off' from our feet to our knees, and that generally took care of the problem. We found ourselves eating primarily at the restaurant at Foster's, and noticed that many people not staying at the resort came there to eat, also. The food was good, and the service was wonderful! Foster and Leslie were on site every day and always enquired as to how we were enjoying our stay...they are readily available to answer questions or just chat. There are larger, more luxurious resorts located in West Bay, but we are grateful that we chose to stay at Foster's, which had everything we needed, including on-site internet service, and an international phone for our use in the office and a more private, personal atmosphere, which you wouldn't get at the larger resorts. Although the power went out almost daily on the island, while we were there, we didn't notice, because Foster's has a generator, so we were never without amenities. We definitely intend to go back to Roatan, and when we do, Foster's will be where we want to stay! P.S. The view from Sky Cabana 4 cannot be beat! Despite a couple of a/c glitches that were promptly fixed (the cabana was brand new...) we had an effortless stay. The view was amazing from the front porch and the location couldn't have been better- BEACH FRONT. Leslie was great and was like a personal guide whenever we had a question about the island. A woman in the front office arranged for a Jeep rental for us delivered directly to Foster's and we were able to tour the island and that was great! The restaurant staff quickly became like friends and the food was great. We primarily ate at Foster's restaurant-cheap prices and consistently good food, we never really had a need to go outside for food. We were looking for a relaxing stress free vacation and that's exactly what we got. Leslie and Foster- we are expecting our first child in July 2007 and plan to bring her back to Sky Cabana 4 when we vacation this year! From the time of our arrival we felt like part of the family. We saw Mr. Foster everyday and he always wanted to know how things were going and asked if we needed anything else to make us more comfortable. He is the kind of owner who cares not only about his customers he cares very much about his staff and we could see that they truely respect him. Our group of eleven stayed in Cabanas and the Roundhouse accommodations and found them very comfortable. It was nice not to have a phone ringing or the tv running in the background. Everyday at breakfast, our waiter, T.J. always greeted us with a smile. He knew us by name the 2nd day and was always there to help and make recommodations. On our 2nd to last day the air conditioner in our cabana broke. One of the maids told Mr. Foster and he moved us to a suite for our last night. The beach at Foster's West Bay is beautiful and we did not have any problems with sand flees or bugs. Foster's is continuing to grow, adding new accommodations. The staff was friendly, courteous and professional. The ownership group took an active role in making sure that my stay was pleasent. They are very down to earth people and Foster himself, even went above and beyond the call of duty by giving me an exclusive tour of the island. The beach at West Bay is perfect and Foster is an outstanding host.I will stay there every time I visit Roatan. Kennard from Phoenix, March 2006 We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 weeks with Foster's. In that time we stayed in three different types of accomodation at Foster's. All were great, but our favorite was the treehouse. We spent a total of 2 weeks in the treehouse, and it was magical. Imagine waking to the sounds of Scarlet Macaws right outside your window, soft breezes all night for air conditioning, and the beautiful sunset ocean views from a treetop perch. Outstanding. The staff at Foster's was very friendly and helpful, from the restaurant to the maid service. Octopus Dive School being right there on site, made it easy for us to explore the beauty of Roatan's reefs. They were professional, friendly, safe, and fun. We will be back. They have many pricing options for their guests, better than others hotels, and a superb service. I like very much the help they bring to us when we want to do a journey in boat for snorkeling; Internet or renting a car to travel along the island. We had an unforgettable vacation with my wife. It was very relaxing, but if you want some activity you can enjoy the days where people from some cruise ships goes to the beach. It was very beautiful. Everything was as good or better than expected. The staff was pleasant and helpful and the food at the restaurant was the best. Our children are begging for us to bring them there after seeing our photos and hearing about the trip. Too bad development is creeping in, but nothing stays the same forever. Oh well. enjoy while you can. The snorkeling was just as you said, Leslie, fantastic. I think I went about 15 times when I was there. Spectacular to say the least. We all appreciate the fact that things were like you said, prior to our arrival. No surprises! Thanks, Jim Boorman Brokerage Foster's West Bay Resort hold some of the most spectacular snorkeling in all of the world. the people are friendly and happy talk about anything and everything. although I've heard horror stories of foreign food, the food was spectacular after a full day of each activities. I hope the gentleman who ran the restaurant finds happiness with his new life on Roatan, Honduras. Michael from Missouri We vere very pleased with our stay in Roatan at Fosters. This is a family run business where the customer needs come first. Foster the owner, his daughter Lana and son Gary Lee treated us like family. Padro cooked some wonderful meals and the drinks were ice cold at the open bar and resturaunt. The view the best you will ever see. The diving was great through Banarama Dive shop. I would highly recommened Fosters. A low key island like comfortable place to stay. The rooms were great the beaches were the best. This was by far the best vacation we ever had. I have been to Hawaii,Tahiti,Cancoon,Bahamas and they do not compare to Roatan. Foster, we will see you next May. The cabins were clean, cozy, and all the mangoes and sea grapes hanging from the trees made it look like the real tropical paradise. We visited West Bay and West End and the water taxis were fun, especially chasing the dolphins. Snorkeling the coral reef was the best, and the beaches are so clean and the water crystal clear. We would recommend this place to everyone who visits the Bay Islands of Honduras. We had a wonderful time. We stayed in the deluxe rooms and even got an additional discount for booking 2 of them at the same time, which we appreciated. Your beach is so beautiful and everything is kept so clean. We went snorkeling almost every day up the beach a little bit- the reef is wonderful there and so close. We liked the privacy and the attention we received from you. Foster was wonderful, too. Always asked us if we needed something. The restaurant Neptuno next door is excellent. The shrimp and the pasta dishes were our favorites. Only one suggestion would be to provide a few extra towels. We have highly recommended your establishment to our friends. My wife and I stayed in the one bedroom/duplex cabana. It was very private. Just what we wanted. We liked the big covered wrap around deck and hammocks, too. You all were great. Helped us with information, since this was our first time in Roatan. And the water taxies to West End were fun. The restaurant was good and so was The Bite on the Beach, which is next door.
